You may not have heard of their company. However, they are really popular when searching for treadmills, and they have some decent reviews.
This particular treadmill, the SF-T7515 Smart Treadmill, has 4.5/5 stars and around 1,200 reviews at the time of this review. We normally see this treadmill priced around $500-600.
The SF-T7515 is a really decent treadmill for the price point, but we feel there is a better machine out there in the same price range that will provide the user with slightly better features.
LCD Monitor — Displays speed, time, distance, calories, and pulse. Fairly standard.
2.20 HP Motor — This is a smaller motor than we like to see. We typically find that anything less than 2.5 does not hold up well to long term use. It will be sufficient for occasional walking if that’s what you’re looking for.
1.0 – 8.0 MPH Speed Range — This is a decent speed range for the average user looking to walk on this treadmill.
16.5 W x 49.5 L Running Deck – Smaller than the standard treadmill deck size. Some users may find this size deck limiting during their workout.
Incline – There are 12 electronic levels of incline offered on the SF-T7515 Smart Treadmill. Many of the treadmills from Sunny Health and Fitness only offer manual incline so this is a great feature for one of their machines.
Warranty — 3-year structural frame 180 days other parts and components. Not the best warranty.
220 lb. Weight Capacity — This treadmill only weighs 121 lbs. We are not sure it would hold up well to the 240 lb. weight limit claim.
For a really similar price, we feel there is a better option that users should consider. The Horizon T101 is priced at $649, and it a few upgraded features from the Sunny Health Smart Treadmill.
Here’s what you can find on the Horizon T101:
20” x 55” Running Surface — This may not seem like much but it can make a big difference in your comfort level during exercise.
Up to 10% Incline — While slightly less than the incline on the SF-T7515 this is still a great incline option and can get your heart pumping during your workout.
Three-Zone Variable Response Cushioning System — Horizon is known for their built-in cushioning system that is softer in the impact zone and firmer in the push-off zone, so every stride is comfortable.
2.5 Continuous Duty HP Motor — This is more of the motor we would expect to see at the $500/600 price range.
Heavier Weight — The T101 from Horizon has a product weight of 180 lbs. This is a much sturdier weight.
Warranty — Lifetime on frame and motor; One year on parts, cushioning, and labor.
There are a few differences between the Horizon T101 and the Smart Treadmill from Sunny Health. They are pretty similar when it comes down to specs and even their price points. However, the Horizon T101 is altogether a slightly better option for features.
If you are looking for a budget treadmill in this price range, we suggest you consider the T101 from Horizon over the SF-T7515from Sunny Health. You get better features for your money with the Horizon treadmill, and a much better warranty as well.
