Sunny Health and Fitness is a lesser-known brand in the fitness equipment industry, but certainly not one to be looked over. Their company has been in business for over a decade. Their headquarters are located in Los Angeles, California. They also have a second headquarter location in Xiamen, China.
Sunny Health and Fitness sources their equipment directly through their manufacturers. Since they have a large network of manufacturers, they are able to offer competitive prices on their equipment. Most of their treadmills are under $1,000, so they are definitely budget-friendly.
Although we think Sunny Health and Fitness offers some advantages to you as the consumer, there are also some limitations to their equipment that you should be aware of.

What Sets Sunny Health and Fitness Apart?
For the price points on these treadmills, we have been thoroughly impressed with the features. You’re certainly “getting what you pay for” with this brand. However, that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Don’t go into this purchase expecting a monster treadmill machine with all the latest gadgets and attachments. That’s not what this company is about. If you are looking for a nice, basic, and sturdy entry-level treadmill that won’t break the bank – Sunny Health and Fitness might be the best route for you.
Minimalistic Design – While most other fitness equipment brands are trying to compete and attempt to build the biggest and bulkiest treadmills, Sunny Health focuses on keeping their designs clean and simple.
Their treadmills don’t have large consoles or screens. Instead, they come with a digital monitor that will display your stats during your workout. The monitor comes with a built-in tablet shelf. So, while there isn’t a screen, you can set up your phone or tablet on the device shelf to keep you entertained while you exercise.
Small-Space Friendly – Again, a “large and in-charge” treadmill isn’t what you’re going to find from Sunny Health & Fitness. These treadmills will be more appropriate for a college student, someone living in a small apartment, or someone who just doesn’t have a ton of extra space to put a treadmill in their home. Most of the treadmills from Sunny Health are less than 100 lbs., and have a significantly smaller footprint than machines you’ll find from other brands.
Folds to Completely Flat – There is no incline feature offered on some of Sunny’s treadmills. The reason behind this is that no incline translates to a really slim fold design. You can slide these treadmill models right under your bed, or stand it up and throw it in your closet. This is a great feature for those who need to have their treadmill stored away when it isn’t in use.
Top-Notch Customer Service – Let’s face it, the fitness equipment industry is pretty saturated. What this means for the consumer is that fitness equipment is very easy to purchase, but quality customer service is hard to come by.
Sunny Health and Fitness prides themselves in being a “family”, and treating their customers like family too. They are a much smaller company, of only about 100 employees worldwide. Sunny Health and Fitness claims that their “Sunny Difference” is their quality customer service.
3 Best Treadmills from Sunny Health & Fitness
Asuna 8730 Treadmill – For Those Cramped on Space
If your main concern is making sure that your new treadmill will fit in your space, this machine is the one for you. It has a very minimal footprint, and it’s offered at an affordable price point. There are a few features that we really like about the Asuna 8730.
Shop for the Asuna 8730 Treadmill at www.SunnyHealthFitness.com
Small Footprint – Of course, the compact design takes the cake feature-wise. The treadmill dimensions are 59L x 30.5W x 40H in, and 64L x 30.5W x 5.25H in. Yes – you read that right. This treadmill folds up to a mere 5.25 inches!
Speed Range – For the price and size of this treadmill, we are shocked that it has such a nice speed range. It allows for 0.6-8.0 MPH.
Weight Capacity – The treadmill is very lightweight, only weighing in at 95 lbs. This is great for being able to easily move it around for storage. There is a 220 lb. suggested weight limit on it. Taking the product weight into consideration, it’s a pretty decent weight limit.
Auxiliary Port – There is a 3.5mm port built into the display monitor. You can plug up your phone or tablet and listen to your favorite music playlist, or catch up on your latest binge worthy show through the treadmill speakers.
Cushioned Deck – The deck is designed with shock absorption technology so that your joints will stay safe during exercise.
2.5 Peak HP Motor – Again, this is a nice size motor for the price point. Although the power on this motor will limit you to walking and some light jogging, it’s a good size for such a small machine.
Transport Wheels – There are 2 sets of transport wheels on this treadmill. The wheels will make is easily to maneuver left, right, forward, or backwards to make storage a breeze.
Of course, there are some things that we do not like about this treadmill that should be taken into consideration before you purchase. First, the running deck size is only 49L x 17.75W. To put this into perspective, the industry standard is 55L x 20W. While this deck will be sufficient for walking, it will probably feel cramped if you try to jog or run on it. If you are on the taller side (close to 6 foot in height), this may be too small of a space for you altogether. In addition, the warranty on these treadmills is very limited. There is a 5-year structural frame and 180 days parts/components coverage. Although the machines are priced affordably, we would like to see better options in terms of service coverage.
SF-T7917 – Feature Packed Under $1,000
If you want more features on your treadmill but still want to stay at the affordable price range for a treadmill, consider the SF-T7917. This treadmill is priced for less than $1,000, and the features really pack a punch. Here is what we really like on the SF-T7917:
Shop for the SF-T7917 Treadmill at www.SunnyHealthFitness.com
Bigger Running Deck – The deck size on this treadmill is 52Lx19W. While it’s still a bit smaller than the industry standard, most users of average height will feel comfortable with this.
Built-In Shock Absorption – You can visually see the shock suspension on this treadmill. It’s embedded into the machine. Your joints will thank you for this feature.
Bluetooth – The built-in speakers are able to be used by connecting your device via Bluetooth. There is also a built-in USB port on the console, so you can charge your device while you’re exercising if needed.
Speed & Incline – Unlike the Asuna model, there is incline on this machine. Enjoy up to 15 levels of incline to really challenge cardiovascular strength. The speed range is 0.6-10 MPH.
Quick Speed Controls – Quick speed buttons are really helpful, especially during a tough workout. The buttons are easily accessible located on the hand rails. You can quickly change your incline or speed without having to slow down or stop your workout.
Performance Monitor – There is a small backlit monitor on this console that will display your workout stats such as speed, pulse, incline, and calories. There are also 15 pre-installed workout programs you can choose from on your console. There is a device holder shelf on the console as well, so if you aren’t interested in watching your workout stats, you can use your phone or tablet instead.
Foldable – The SF-T7917 is foldable and designed with a soft-drop hydraulic mechanism. This allows for safe folding and unfolding. This feature will keep you (and your floors) protected. There are transportation wheels on the treadmill as well so you can roll it out of the way for storage. When it’s folded, the dimensions are 32L x 32W x 57H in. Fully assembled the dimensions are 69L x 32W x 56H in.
While there are some nice features on this machine, it’s not a slam-dunk by any means. One major concern is the motor. The motor is only a 2.0 Peak HP. While Sunny Health advertises that treadmill users can run on this treadmill, we wouldn’t recommend it. A motor of this size really is only adequate for walking, and maybe some light jogging. Also, it should be noted that the warranty on this machine quite frankly sucks. Although it cost more, the warranty is even less than the Asuna model. It comes with a 3-year structural frame and 180-day parts/components service coverage.
SF-T7955 – Best for Runners
If you are looking for an in-home treadmill to help you reach your running goals from Sunny Health & Fitness, this machine is the one for you. It’s a heavy-duty machine that is capable of handling your training efforts. While it’s a little over the $1,000, it’s certainly still an affordable price point considering the specs. Some of the best features on this treadmill include:
Shop for the SF-T7955 Treadmill at www.SunnyHealthFitness.com
3.0 Peak HP Motor – Now we’re talking. This is a motor that we would expect to see on a treadmill that is advertised for running.
Speed and Incline – This treadmill will incline from 0.6-5.7 degrees (translates to 18 levels of incline), and can handle running speeds up to 11.5 MPH. When you’re walking or running at an incline degree, you can activate more muscle groups in your legs and increase your calorie burn as well.
30 Pre-Set Programs – There are different training programs raging from weight loss, heart rate, and interval training. Whichever one that you select, you are sure to get in a great heart-pumping workout every time you step foot on your treadmill.
Floor Stabilizers – This is an important feature, especially if you are a runner. Not everyone has a completely flat or stable surface to place their treadmill on. With this feature, you’ll be able to have a stationary and safe workout no matter what your floor surface is like. You can adjust each foot leveler to ensure that your treadmill is balanced.
Quick Control Buttons – You can easily change your speed or incline by pressing one of the quick buttons located on the hand rails.
Running Deck – The running deck area is pretty standard. 54L x 20W. It’s built with shock absorption as well to keep your joints and back protected.
Entertainment Features – You can blast your workout playlist through the speakers to keep you motivated via Bluetooth connection. There is a USB port if you need to charge a device while you’re on the treadmill. A pretty unique feature is that the console has a dual device tablet holder, so that you can have both your phone and your tablet displayed on your console if needed. Hey, if you’re working from home while getting your steps in…. we won’t judge. The built-in monitor will display your workout stats.
Folds Away for Storage – This treadmill folds up with the soft-drop hydraulic technology. There are transportation wheels built-in for easy maneuverability. When folded, the dimensions are 44.75L x 34.5W x 60H in. Fully assembled the dimensions are 70.7L x 34.5W x 59.5H in.
What we don’t like on this treadmill is that once again, we are disappointed and skeptical about the warranty coverage. It’s 3-years structural frame, and 180 days for parts and components. In addition, the weight limit is only 275 lbs. For a machine priced over $1,000 that is advertised for running, we would hope to see a higher weight limit. Low weight limits make fitness inaccessible to those who are starting out their journeys at heavier weights.

Are Sunny Health and Fitness Treadmills Worth It?
The bottom line is that you are not getting a luxury treadmill from Sunny Health and Fitness. They focus on building affordable machines. These treadmills likely not be a life-long treadmill purchase, especially considering their joke of a warranty. If you are looking for an entry-level treadmill that won’t break the bank, and if you don’t mind it maybe only lasting you a few years – you’ll probably be satisfied with your purchase from Sunny Health and Fitness.
To be very blunt, if you’re on a tight budget and you need to workout from home, and you’re just wanting something quick and inexpensive to fill the gap, this is the brand for you. Otherwise, you may want to consider saving up and waiting to purchase a treadmill that will hold up for the average 10-15 years from a more established brand like NordicTrack or ProForm. These brands also have a few machines that are priced for less than $1,000, with much better components and warranty coverage.
