Commercial Grade Features with TV and Speakers

The NordicTrack Commercial 1600 treadmill is a rebranding of several other models that have very similar features.

When they seriously discount this treadmill at around $1,600 you are getting one of the better values in the treadmill industry. With the 3.5 HP motor and the 60" treadbelt it would be a good buy, when you add the TV, speakers and various programming it becomes an excellent buy.

Features on the NordicTrack Commercial 1600 Treadmill…

20"x 60" Treadbelt - The extra long treadbelt has several benefits. It can accommodate runner, taller users and individuals doing interval training. For someone over 5'10" running on a 54" belt can be discomforting.

3.5 Continuous Duty HP Motor - Normally a treadmill with a 3.5 HP motor will run in the $2,000+ price range. This motor is designed for strenuous use and should run effortlessly at high speeds and steep inclines.

35 Workout Programs - NordicTrack offers more of a variety of exercise program than any other manufactuer. Some are slight variations of each other, but you still get a good variety. I personally like to use different programs when I exercise to break up the monotomy. The programs include…

• • 4 Event Training workouts, featuring a 5K, 10K, half-marathon and full-marathon run.

Adjustable Cushioning Deck - Depending on your style of exercising and your weight, you can adjust the level of shock absorption of the deck. You can set the deck so you have a soft landing and a firm push-off.

Entertainment Features…

7" Flat Screen TV - NordicTrack offers a TV in several of their treadmills. The reason is — they are popular. Running in place is boring. However, having a TV can distract you while you burn those calories and get in top condition. You may find you exercise longer with the distraction.

Intermix Acoustics™ Sound System - There are a number of manufacturers that incorporate speakers into their consoles. Most sound terrible. NordicTrack offers one of the better sound systems that also includes a subwoofer.

Our Review - The NordicTrack Commercial 1600

The NordicTrack Commercial 1600 treadmill replaces their very popular Elite 7500. They are very similar in features and design. The Elite 7500 had a good service record and one was on their biggest selling treadmill. As mentioned, if you can get the Commercial 1600 for $1,600 or less with shipping this is a great bargain buy.
