The Horizon T93 treadmill competes in the very competitive $1,000 price. There are some good deals, and this treadmill is one of them.

It comes with a 2.5 hp continuous-duty motor, which can tolerate lots of use from power walkers and light joggers. Watch out for that maximum weight limit, however.

Even though the manufacturer states that this machine can handle up to 325 pounds, it probably wouldn't stand up to that much weight for long. I recommend a more expensive, heavier treadmill for users above 230 pounds.

A nice characteristic about this treadmill is that it comes with 14 workout programsm, which allows you to vary your workouts. That's quite a choice of programs for a treadmill in this category. With so much variety, you can constantly switch up your routine and never become bored.

What do you get on a Horizon T93 treadmill? Below I've listed some of its features:

Nice-looking console with LCD displays: The displays are backlit in blue to make them easy on the eyes. LCD windows are not quite as high quality as LED displays, but they get the job done.

Fan: Built right into the console is a fan that is aimed just right to keep your body cool and comfortable during your workouts.

iPod deck and built-in speakers: Let your favorite music inspire you to keep going throughout your workout with the convenience of the iPod deck and built-in speakers. The location of the speakers in the console eliminates the necessity to wear headphones.an asset for mothers who need to tune into their babies and small children.

2.5 hp continuous-duty motor: This is the same size motor that comes on some of the more expensive Horizon treadmills, and it comes with a lifetime warranty. It's plenty adequate for power walking and light jogging.

20" x 55" running surface: The running surface is big enough to accommodate the strides of most people. Extra tall individuals, however, would likely be more comfortable on a larger running surface.

Adjustable cushioning: With this nice feature, you get the right amount of shock absorption and support for your personal comfort and safety.

Sturdy frame: The frame is fairly heavy for a folding treadmill and remains reasonably steady during a workout. It also comes with a lifetime warranty.

Speed capacity up to 12 mph and incline capacity up to 12%: You can easily adjust your speed and incline levels by using the Quick Keys on the console.

Contact heart rate grips: Although not as convenient as a wireless heart rate control, this feature allows you to monitor your heart rate during your workout and adjust the intensity levels accordingly. As a result, you get an optimum workout as you get closer to achieving your fitness goals.

Folds for easy storage: Perfect feature for those who have limited space.

Our Review - Horizon T93 Treadmill

For the price, the Horizon T93 is a decent product and is suitable to meet the requirements of the average user. They build decent treadmills at this price range. Just remember that you get what you pay for.

This is treadmill geared towards walking or moderate jogging. If you have multiple users or are a serious athlete you probably will want to upgrade.

Note: The Horizon T93 treadmill is backed by lifetime warranties on the motor and frame, as well as one-year warranties on parts and labor. For the price this is average coverage. I would recommend upgrading at least another year and protect your investment.

Also check out the Smooth 5.45 treadmill. Same price, with many of the same features, however, it comes with a 3-year parts warranty.
