For $400 you are getting a treadmill built for occasional light use. But Weslo treadmills are very popular for people who don't want to dish out alot of money for a potential clothes hanger.

The Weslo C44 has a very narrow belt. It is like walking on an I-beam. And with a 47" long belt, you will feel like you are about to run off.

The 1.3 hp motor should have enough power to handle an anorexic runway model. Anyone else and the motor will strain.

Our Review

This is not a quality treadmill, and it is not built to last, which is reflected in the length of the warranty.

It has a very very small walking area and a tiny motor. This is a Icon treadmill, which also builds Image, Proform, Reebok and Nordic Track. If you have a limited budget you may want to consider one of the higher priced ProForm or Image models. It is a bit more, but tends to be rated the best of the budget treadmills. If you want a machine that will last consider Smooth, Sole or New Balance.

If you are sold on Weslo we highly recommend that you get an extended warranty.
