When discounted at a competitive price, the NordicTrack Commercial 1500 can be an attractive offer. The length of the deck and the size of the motor make it a good running/ jogging machine.

Most brands that offer an equivalent model usually start at around $1,500 or more.

20" x 60" Treadbelt - Most treadmills come with a 54" long belt. The extra 6" on the Commercial 1500 belt can really make a difference. It is ideal for tall individuals and people who like to sprint or interval train.

3.0 Continuous Duty HP Motor - They call this motor commercial grade. That means it is also sold for use in commercial machine settings, but not necessarily in commercial grade treadmills. However, this motor is strong enough to handle joggers/runners and multiple users.

Intermix Acoustic Sound System - This is the best sound system built into a treadmill. It comes with high-end speakers, and if that is not enough, a subwoofer. You'll be rockin as you're running. You can plug in your iPod, and other popular audio inputs.

28 Workout Programs - With the Commercial 1500 you get a generous selection of exercise programs. I personally use a different program everytime I exercise on my machine. This breaks up the monotomy of jogging in place. Each program focuses on aerobic, weight loss or performance goals. There are also 4 create and save programs.

Our Review - The NordicTrack Commercial 1500

When this treadmill is seriously discounted, you are getting a decent deal. The Commercial 1500 includes a decent size motor, sound system, 28 installed programs and an extra long deck. Now compare that to comparably priced models. In general, NordicTrack and its' sister company ProForm, gives you more for less. It is because they are part of the largest conglomerate of fitness brands.

A couple of notes. First, they call this treadmill the Commercial 1500. It is not a commercial treadmill. I'm not sure I would even consider it a heavy-duty treadmill, but it is a durable residential treadmill. Second, spend the few extra dollars for an extended warranty. Protect your investment. It is expensive to get a treadmill repaired.

If the NordicTrack is selling for around $1,400 or less, you are getting a good value.
