20" x 60" Treadbelt - Most treadmills come with a 54" long belt. The extra 6" on the NordicTrack Commercial TS belt can really make a difference. It is ideal for tall individuals and people who like to sprint or interval train.

ifit® Workout Card Technology - The ifit technology is one of the most innovative ideas to come out of the industry. For an extra fee, you can purchase a serious of exercise programs created by professional fitness trainers. It is a great way to get motivated, burn off those extra calories, and get yourself in shape.

Each program offers an 8-week exercise series. They control the speed and the incline of the machine. To further motivate you, the programs include audio coaching. A personal trainer encourages you while providing tips on how to maximize your workout.

3.0 Continuous Duty HP Motor - This motor has a good service record. In fact, I've never heard of one breaking down. It is good for joggers and runners and should perform well at higher speeds and steep inclines.

Warranty - The warranty is average at best (12 years motor, 1-year parts and labor). And the reason it isn't better is the company want's to upsell you on an extended warranty, which may be a good idea.

2.5" Rollers - These are decent size rollers considering the price of the treadmill. Typically with rollers the bigger the better. It will extend the life of the belt, motor, bearings and the rollers.

20 Personal Training Programs - Although these programs do not include audio coaching, you still get a generous selection of training programs. You can choose between aerobic, weight-loss or performance workouts.

Built-in Fan - To add a fan to the console of a treadmill is not a huge expense, but it is one of the more popular items on treadmills. Designed to target and cool down your core.

When selling for $1,099, the NordicTrack Commercial TS is a good value. This is a solid machine for jogging and walking. The iFit technology and the 20 training programs offer a variety of challenges. And playing tunes on the sound system can help to pass the time as you are burning calories and getting in shape.
