Of course, I have to start out by saying the best treadmill reviews online are from my site. With each review I try to explain the nature of the product and how it will fit your fitness goals. I discuss quality, the company reputation, warranties and more. In addition, when available I include customer testimonials. You can check them out at www.treadmill-ratings-reviews.com.
There are a number of other resources I would recommend. First, there is ConsumerReports.org. What makes their reviews unique is they go out and buy a model off a showroom floor. They put it through the motions and give their results. Good information, but it doesn’t cover the issues like customer service and company reputation. They also only review a limited number of products - around 20. This is subscription service.
Another good source is Treadmill Doctor. The person who does the reviews has been in the treadmill business for a number of years. He covers the majority of models out there. My only criticism is his reviews are lite on content, and he tends to use the same comments for similar models within a brand.
ConsumerSearch.com makes recommendations based on the recommendations of other reputable web sites.
Epinions.com offers customer reviews. Some are rather detailed. It is a hit or miss on which models have reviews. And many are dated. This site is not as popular as it use to be for treadmill reviews.
Amazon.com and Sears.com, both offer customer reviews on the products they offer. Amazon has a larger selection.
For reviews on the stores that sell treadmills go to Shopping.com and NexTag.com. You can see customer reviews on the sellers, and learn how they rate. An important aspect of buying a treadmill.
Finally, if you search you will find countless treadmill review sites. These are affiliates sites that make money from their reviews. Most lack objectivity and are only interested in recommending any and every products so they can get a commission. Their reviews lack depth, and basically gleem over information they pull from the retailer web sites. That said, I do get affiliate commission on some of my recommendations. I only endorse products that I feel serve the needs of my readers.
I hope this list helps in finding the treadmill that is ideal for achieving your fitness goals.
