Keys Fitness is Out of Business

I use to work for a company that private labeled Keys Treadmills. They were a good, dependable machine. I had to make a trip to Dallas, which is where their headquarters is located. I figured I would make a courtesy call and check out their latest treadmill models. I left a message with their marketing and department and with their CEO, who I personally know.

Neither bothered to return my call, which I found strange, since you would think they would like the free exposure of reviews on my site.

I previously heard they went chapter 11, and were restructuring. While in Dallas my wife dragged me to a mall and while she was shopping for shoes I stopped at a fitness equipment store. They were selling Keys treadmills. I asked what was going on to the sales manager and he told me he bought these on a liquidation sale. They were selling everything, including the office furniture and they were officially out of business.

So long Keys Fitness. You were once a major player and once sold some of the best mid-range treadmills available.

  1. Thank you for posting the status of Keys Fitness. I had been looking for information on the status of Keys Fitness because I had read of their chapter 11 bankruptcy. I was thinking about purchasing one of their treadmills but it looks like parts will be hard to come by and the warranty wouldn’t exist.

I wonder how this will affect Smooth Fitness. I think Keys built and sold treadmills to Smooth Fitness.

  2. Smooth has not private labeled Keys treadmills in over 6 years.

  3. I too have a treadmill from Keys. I thought I was out of luck repairing it. I finally found a tech in my area who was willing to repair it. He told me a company called Maverick Service and Assembly had parts to repair my unit and what part I needed. I then decided to contact Maverick myself. Turns out that with the help of the techs at Maverick I was able to repair my unit without any parts. They helped me over the phone and I am now back running on my treadmill.

    Hello,
I too have a Keys Treadmill HT700 and an error appeared on my panel. Is there’s a solution that I can try to do to take the error off? Please help, thanks!!

  5. I believe I heard that http://www.treadmilldoctor.com was taking over customer service for Keys.

  6. Fitness Guy :I believe I heard that http://www.treadmilldoctor.com was taking over customer service for Keys.

But there is a company out there called MAVERICK SERVICE AND ASSEMBLY they will assist you over the phone for a small diagnostic fee and narrow down to exactly what you will need. A lot of the time they can fix it over the phone but if not they do carry parts and are very reasonable. 866-962-0173 maverickserviceandassembly.com
