There is a 5% off weekend sale on all ProForm Treadmills (Ends August 1, 2010). They run these sales about once very couple of months, so it is a good opportunity to save a few bucks. They also have a number of treadmill models available for a month end inventory sale. With the 5% discount you can get a treadmill for as low as $474. Although be cautious buying a budget treadmill at that level.

The BowFlex Series 7 treadmill is a quality treadmill that offers a 3.0 continuous duty motor and a 60" long treadbelt. It has received a best buy rating from a prominent consumer magazine.

As of 7/8/10 www.Amazon.com dropped the price $200, selling it at $1,099 with shipping. That is $499 less than the sale price on www.blowflexcatalog.com. This is an excellent price on a treadmill that is solid and durable. It also received 4.5 stars out of 5 by 205 Amazon customers.

The holiday weekends are usually an excellent opportunity to get some good bargains on treadmills. So far I've received notice that they are discounting all their treadmills and elliptical trainers by $100.

The reality is they raised the price on a couple of models, so there is no real bargain. However, you can get the lowest price they have ever offered on the Smooth 5.65 treadmill, Smooth 7.35 treadmill and the Smooth 9.45ST treadmill. You need to use coupon code "july4". All prices include shipping and a 2-year labor warranty. Ends Monday, July 5th.

Not surprisingly, the summer is a slow time for treadmill manufacturers. The weather has greatly improved from the dreaded winter, and people tend to exercise outdoors more often than indoors. Actually, that tends to be more the case for spring. Once the dog days of summer hit, many prefer exercising in air conditioned comfort.

Overall, treadmill sales decline in the spring and summer, and treadmill sellers are struggling to move their inventory. In fact, treadmill sales are half or a third of what they are in the dead of winter. So what does that mean to potential treadmill buyers - serious discounts.
