It’s that time of year again when people are considering the perfect gift for Christmas. Having been the fitness equipment industry for a number of years, I am surprised how many people buy treadmills as a Christmas present. They may spend up to a few thousand dollars.
What makes giving a treadmill for the holidays is you are giving the gift of health. Some of the benefits are a slimmer and sexier significant other. Oh yeah, if you ask nicely, you may get to use the treadmill yourself.
There are some considerations. First, will you and your spouse actually use the treadmill. They do make very expensive clothes hangers. Also, will your loved one consider a treadmill more of a slight. In otherwords, you are telling him or her, your overweight, do something about it. Finally, would they rather have diamonds or tools.
If you plan to get a treadmill for Christmas, a couple of suggestions. Get a machine that will last and is built for achieving your fitness goals. Cheap treadmills are built with cheap parts. They usually will not withstand strenuous workouts.
If you plan to buy a treadmill online, allow at least two weeks for delivery. Some companies will require more of less time. Check their sites. And if you buy online, realize the standard delivery is curbside. Most treadmills weight over 150 lbs. You may want to upgrade to inside delivery.
